The small town of Kuppenheim, in the Rastatt district, has around 8,300 residents and lies in western Baden-Württemberg. Its largely rural surroundings are ideal for outdoor activities including walking, cycling and water sports. With convenient access to the A5 motorway, Karlsruhe (around 313,000 residents) is about 32 km away: approximately 20 minutes by car or 42 minutes by light rail. Rastatt and Baden-Baden are nearby and easily reached by car or public transport.
Offenburg can be reached in around 20 minutes, and Freiburg in just over an hour by car via the A5. The light rail stops in Kuppenheim, connecting the town to the Murg valley (Gaggenau, Gernsbach and Forbach) and, in the opposite direction, to Rastatt.
Kuppenheim offers a good setting for families and nature lovers. Its location between Karlsruhe, Stuttgart and Frankfurt also provides options for nightlife. Cultural and community activities are available in Kuppenheim, Rastatt and Baden-Baden.
